- Applicant identity data: Legal name, entity type, address, country, email
- Trademark filing data: Mark text or logo, filing basis, goods/services descriptions
- Communication data: Emails and correspondence relating to your mandate
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, standard server logs
3. How We Use Your Data
- To process and execute your trademark filing mandate
- To prepare administrative submission packages and coordinate with U.S. counsel where required
- To maintain case file documentation and continuity records
- To communicate regarding the status of your mandate
- To comply with applicable legal obligations
4. Legal Basis (GDPR)
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contractual necessity) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a documented administrative service).
5. Data Sharing
- Licensed U.S. Counsel: Where your mandate requires legal representation (Path B), necessary case file data is shared with engaged counsel
- USPTO: Your applicant and mark data is submitted to USPTO as part of the filing process
- Service providers: intake, billing, and automation service providers
We do not sell personal data.
6. Data Retention
Case file data is retained for a minimum of 7 years from case closure. Technical website logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days.
7. Your Rights
You have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Contact: webmaster@vilinq.net. EEA residents may lodge complaints with their national data protection authority.
